Thursday, November 6, 2014 ST. LOUIS – Thirteen Pioneer Football League student-athletes were named to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-District® teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors Association, Thursday. Seven of the league's 11 members had one student-athlete recognized on the teams. A complete listing of those Pioneer Football League student-athletes receiving Academic All-District® recognition are listed below. Links are provided to each school's website where more detailed information about the honorees is available. The 13 PFL student-athletes selected to the first team in their respective districts are placed on the national ballot for Academic All-America® consideration. Nominations and voting for the Academic All-America® programs are conducted by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America. To be nominated for all-district honors, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed on the nomination form. No student-athlete is eligible until he/she has completed one full calendar year at his/her current institution and has reached sophomore athletic eligibility.
