Nine PFL Student-Athletes recognized on 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) recognized nine Pioneer Football League student-athletes among its 2020-21 Academic All-District® Football Teams, which recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

These First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early July.

CoSIDA began the distinguished Academic All-America® program in 1952, and since then, has honored thousands of deserving student-athletes from numerous sports across all divisions with these elite Academic All-America® scholar-athlete honors.

Currently, CoSIDA sponsors Academic All-America® programs for men's soccer, women's soccer, football, volleyball, men's basketball, women's basketball, baseball, softball, and men's and women's track and field/cross country. Many other sports are eligible through the At-Large program.

The Pioneer Football League student-athletes recognized on the 2020-21 Academic All-District Teams were as follows:

Anthony Best, defensive lineman
Brandon Easterling, defensive back

Drake University
Danny Morales, defensive back

Marist College
Nick Foglia, defensive lineman
Max Heinrich, special teams

Valparaiso University
Cade Bishop, defensive lineman
