Synopsis
San Diego capped its third-straight unbeaten PFL campaign and ran its PFL win streak to 29 games with a win at Marist… Stetson finished in a tie for second with Drake, it was the Hatters best-ever finish in the PFL while the Bulldogs finished second for a second-straight year and a third-straight 6-2 record… Stetson's Donald Parham (257 yards vs. Valparaiso) and San Diego's Anthony Olivencia (224 yards vs. Marist) provided the sixth and seventh 200-yard receiving performances in 2018… Dayton's Tucker Yinger finished with 203 rushing yards at Jacksonville for his third 200-plus yard outing this season – the eight in the PFL in 2018… Stetson's Colin McGovern joined the 400-yard passing group with his 498-yard effort against Valparaiso, it was his first 400-plus yard outing and the seventh in the PFL this year… McGovern also had a six-touchdown day as part of his 31-for-50 passing outing… Drew Bevelhimer connected on three field goals, including a 42-yarder, tying the PFL single-game high for field goals made… Valparaiso's Dimitrios Latsonas connected on a 50-yard field goal that was the longest in the PFL this season and the longest in the league since Week 2 of the 2017 season… Kieran Severa scored a defensive PAT, the second defensive PAT scored by Drake this season… Kellan McKeag scored a touchdown on a 25-yard punt return, providing Valparaiso its fifth defensive/special teams touchdown this season (1 PR, 1 INT, 2 KR, 1 FR)… For the season the PFL finished with three 1,000-yard rushers during the regular season and four 1,000-yard receivers… However, only two PFL quarterbacks amassed 3,000 passing yards: San Diego's Anthony Lawrence (3,785 yards) and Stetson's Colin McGovern (3,020 yards),

SAN DIEGO 31, MARIST 14
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – San Diego jumped out to a 24-0 halftime lead and completed its third straight undefeated Pioneer Football League campaign with a 31-14 victory against Marist, Saturday, at Tenney Stadium.
The Toreros scored 10 points in the first quarter, but broke the game open over a span of 12 minutes around halftime as Anthony Lawrence threw three touchdowns, finding Dominic Graziani with 4:06 left in the second quarter, Emilion Martinez with 13 seconds left in the first half and then Michael Armstead for a 56-yard touchdown strike with 7:51 left in the third quarter that put San Diego up 31-0.
Marist would respond with a pair of late touchdowns, Juston Christian catching a 30-yarder then a 35-yard touchdown pass from Austin Day to cut the deficit to 31-14. Christian finished with 70 yards on three catches and became the 18th FCS receiver with 4,000 career receiving yards.
Lawerence completed 20-of-26 passes for 289 yards and wide receiver Michael Bandy caught five passes for 127 yards to lead San Diego.
Day completed 20-of-45 passes for 321 yards and Anthony Olivencia caught 12 passes for 224 yards to pace Marist.
STETSON 45, VALPARAISO 31
DeLAND, Fla. – Stetson scored 21 unanswered points in the third quarter to turn a halftime deficit into an 18-point lead and held on for a 45-31 PFL victory against Valparaiso, Saturday, at Spec Martin Stadium.
The Crusaders and Hatters traded touchdowns throughout the first half, Valparaiso taking a 24-21 halftime lead thanks to Dimitrios Latsonas' 50-yard field goal as the halftime gun sounded. However, Stetson's Colin McGovern threw three touchdowns in the third quarter to Bensley Bornelus, Luke McDermott and Donald Parham and turned the game around.
McGovern would finish with six touchdown throws as part of his 31-for-50, 498-yard passing performance. Donald Parham caught 12 passes for 257 yards and three touchdowns.
Chris Duncan completed 15-of-27 passes for 164 yards and a game-opening touchdown to lead Valparaiso.
DAVIDSON 41, BUTLER 38
DAVIDSON, N.C. – Davidson fended off four Butler plays from the Davidson 3-yard line in the closing moments to hold on for a 41-38 PFL victory, Saturday, at Richardson Stadium.
Davidson built a 41-30 lead with 7:27 left when James Story dashed into the end zone from 28 yards out. On the ensuing Butler possession, Will Marty put together a 12-play, 69-yard touchdown drive in just 3:37 and then tacked on a two-point conversion to slash the deficit to 41-38. Butler then recovered the on-side kick and set off again down the field, covering 48 yards in 3:44.
However, with the Bulldogs just two yards from grabbing victory the Wildcats defense made a furious defensive stand. Davidson stopped a play at its own one-yard line, got a key tackle for loss back to the two, another tackle for loss back to the three-yard line and a final run was stopped on the one-yard line to seal the win.
It was another wild running day for Davidson with James Story's 107-yard outing leading a 408-yard rushing performance by DC. Wesley Dugger scored three times on 17 carries totaling 87 yards.
Will Marty finished with 307 passing yards and two touchdowns on 29-of-43 passing. Pace Temple caught 14 passes for 169 yards and two touchdown.
DAYTON 34, JACKSONVILLE 7
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Tucker Yinger ran for 203 yards and a touchdown as Dayton downed Jacksonville, 34-7, in Saturday PFL action at D.B. Milne Field.
With Joseph Bruni's 27-yard field goal providing the first quarter's only score, Dayton broke the game open in the second with touchdown runs by Jack Cook and Sean Prophit following by another Bruni field goal to build a 20-0 halftime lead. Yinger would add a seven-yard touchdown dash in the third frame followed by Cook's only passing touchdown eight minutes later as the Flyers lead expanded to 34-0.
Yinger posted his 203 yards on 21 carries, amounting to the bulk of Dayton's 447-yard day.
Walker Wright broke up the shutout bid with his 15-yard touchdown completion to Craige Saxton with 1:10 left in the contest. Jacksonville was held to 299 offensive yards.
DRAKE 43, MOREHEAD STATE 6
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Grant Kraemer passed for two touchdowns and ran for another as Drake defeated Morehead State, 43-6, in Saturday PFL play at Jayne Stadium.
Drake and Morehead State traded touchdowns early in the first quarter, but Drake blocked Morehead State's PAT and Kieran Severa returned it for a defensive PAT conversion that supplied Drake a 9-6 lead and all the momentum. Alex Bray opened the second quarter by finding Drew Lauer for a 48-yard touchdown and a 16-6 lead. On the last Drake drive of the first half, Kraemer connected with Steven Doran for a 65-yard touchdown pass that sealed the win.
Kraemer completed 11-of-19 passes for 245 yards and two scores while Doran caught five passes for 159 yards to lead Drake.
Lawson Page passed for 159 yards and ran for another 87 to provide 246 of Morehead State's 333 total offensive yards.
