Synopsis
San Diego clinched its fifth consecutive PFL title with a win against Davidson, thanks largely to quarterback Anthony Lawrence's PFL record-tying seven touchdown passing performance… The Toreros overcame a Davidson offense that posted an FCS-record 789 rushing yards, with four runners posting at least 100 yards and Wesley Dugger amassing 231 rushing yards… San Diego's Michaell Bandy became the first PFL receiver with a 300-yard outing, finishing with 324 receiving yards… Lawrence also broke the PFL record for passing yardage, his 556-yard day surpassing San Diego alumnus Mason Mills 511-yard effort in 2012… Dayton's Tucker Yinger fell 11 yards shy of breaking the PFL rushing record, his 264-yard outing coming in just 38:09 of game time… Yinger and Bandy also had four touchdowns each to lead the league's scorers in Week 11… Eight of the league's 10 teams finished with 400 yards or more of total offense and four teams posted 48 or more points… The lone defensive battle occured in Des Moines where Drake upended Marist in a 13-10 game that featured the only two offenses to post fewer than 300 total offensive yards… In fact Drake and Marist combined for 527 total yards, that combined total would have finished fourth among the offenses in Week 11… That Drake-Marist game featured the defensive highlight of the day as Drake's Will Warner intercepted three passes, two in the final minutes, for the first three-INT day in the league since 2015… The special teams highlight of the day went to San Diego's Michael Armstead, who supplied a 98-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

BUTLER 28, STETSON 23
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Will Marty passed for two scores and ran for the go-ahead score midway through the second quarter as Butler outlasted Stetson, 28-23, in Saturday PFL action at Sellick Stadium.
After Butler scored the game's first touchdown, Stetson responded with back-to-back scores. Colin McGovern hit Donald Parham for a touchdown throw near the end of the first quarter then running in for another score early in the second for a 13-7 Stetson lead.
Marty matched his counter part on the ensuing Butler drive, dashing in from 14 yards out to give Butler a 14-13 lead. He secured that lead on Butler's next drive when he found Stephen Dennis for a 68-yard touchdown bomb for a 21-13 halftime lead that would hold up.
Marty completed 15-of-29 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns, including a second touchdown throw to Dennis in the third quarter. Dennis caught four passes for 161 yards and two scores.
McGovern completed 35-of-48 passes for 347 yards and a touchdown to Donald Parham who finished with nine receptions for 111 yards.
DAYTON 63, MOREHEAD STATE 20
DAYTON, Ohio – Tucker Yinger needed just two and a half quarters to amass 264 rushing yards and four touchdowns as Dayton flew past Morehead State, 63-20, in PFL action, Saturday, at Welcome Stadium.
Dayton scored 21 points in each of the first two quarters, its first five touchdowns coming on short runs before quarterback Jack Cook found Yinger for Datyon's lone passing touchdown on the day. Yinger would open the second half with touchdown runs of 68 and 37 yards, the latter run ending his day with 6:51 left in the third quarter and giving Dayton a 56-13 lead.
Dayton turned to the ground game to do its damage against Morehead State, compiling 443 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground. Five different Flyers runners scored a touchdown in the contest, including Yinger's three rushing scores and quarterback Jack Cook's two touchdown runs.
Morehead State finished with 405 offensive yards, quarterback Lawson Page passing for 150 yards and a touchdown and running for another 69 yards to lead the effort.
VALPARAISO 48, JACKSONVILLE 30
VALPARAISO, Ind. – Chris Duncan and Griffin Norberg connected for a 75-yard touchdown on the game's first play from scrimmage and Valparaiso would race to a 48-30 PFL victory against Jacksonville, Saturday at Brown Field.
After their opening play theatrics, Duncan and Norberg would connect again nine minutes later on a 45-yard touchdown for an early 14-0 lead. That lead would grow to three touchdowns when Duncan capped a 7-play, 86-yard drive with a two-yard pass to Parker Fox.
Jacksonville would try to rally with the game's next 10 points. Calvin Turner Jr. would score on a two-yard touchdown burst before Javier Arce-Ramirez would tack on a 31-yard field goal to narrow the deficit to 21-10. However, Valparaiso would score the game's next 13 points and never looked back.
Duncan completed 15-of-28 passes for 302 yards and three touchdowns, finding Norberg five times for 173 receving yards and two touchdowns.
Garnett Nicolas led Jacksonville with a 165 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries.
DRAKE 13, MARIST 10
DES MOINES, Iowa – Danny Donley's 24-yard field goal with 1:55 remaining sent Drake to a 13-10 victory against Marist, Saturday in PFL action at Drake Stadium.
Donley's game-winning kick was set up by Will Warner's second interception of the day, his 28-yard return setting up the Bulldogs at the Marist 12-yard line. After Donley put Drake ahead, Warner again came up big with his third interception which allowed Drake to kneel out the game.
After a Donley 30-yard field goal was the first half's only points, Marist tied the game with Mateo Zapata's 27-yard field goal midway through the third quarter. The Red Foxes then took the lead when Austin Day found Juston Christian for a 25-yard touchdown strike and a 10-3 lead. But Drake responded on its ensuing possession when Grant Kraemer hit Steven Doran for a 53-yard touchdown pass, setting up the late theatrics.
Kraemer completed 18-of-34 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown. Drake finished with 246 offensive yards. Warner's three interceptions in a game was the first three INT day in the PFL since 2015 (Stetson's Eric Martin).
Day completed 16-of-34 passes for 290 yards and a touchdown, but also was picked off three times. Christian caught four passes for 113 yards and now has 3,999 career receiving yards.
SAN DIEGO 56, DAVIDSON 52
SAN DIEGO, Calif. – In a game featuring records of all types, Anthony Lawrence's PFL record tying seventh touchdown pass with 1:43 left delivered a fifth-straight PFL championship to San Diego courtesy a 56-52 PFL victory against Davidson, Saturday, at Torero Stadium.
The Toreros overcame a record-breaking rushing outing by Davidson, which finished with a FCS record 789 rushing yards and broke a record that had stood since 1988. Four Wildcats runners had 100-plue yardage days, including Wesley Dugger's 231-yard outing. The two teams combined for 1,477 yards of total offense, second-most in FCS history.
San Diego scored the game's first touchdown when Lawrence found Michael Bandy for a 59-yard touchdown. But Davidson scored 31 unanswered points, including three drives that amounted to a single play: Dugger scoring a 94-yard touchdown run, Williams WIcks a 90-yard touchdown run and Keylan Brown an 80-yard touchdown dash.
San Diego recovered from that mauling as Lawrence threw three touchdowns passes in the final 7:48 of the first half. He connected with Emilio Martinez for a 71-yard touchdown before finding Dalton Kincaid from 42 and then 20 yards out to slash the deficit to 38-35 at halftime.
After the teams traded touchdowns in the third quarter, San Diego's defense came up big when it forced a fumble just shy of the goal line to thwart a potential Davidson score. On the next play, Lawrence hit Michael Bandy for a 99-yard touchdown that turned the game's momentum.
Lawrence completed 24-of-36 passes for 556 yards and seven touchdowns. His 556 passing yards broke the PFL single-game record held by San Diego alumnus Mason Mills (511 vs. Dayton in 2012). The seven touchdown throws tied the PFL record last thrown by Jacksonville's Josh McGregor in 2010. In addition, Michael Bandy finished with 324 receiving yards on 10 catches, the first-ever 300-yard receiving performance in the PFL and breaking the record of 275 yards set by Valparaiso's Rob Giancola in 2003.
