CHICAGO – Campbell running back Montel Goods became the first Pioneer Football League athlete to earn a weekly national honor in 2017, earning STATS FCS National Freshman of the Week, Monday.

Goods made his first collegiate start a memorable one, rushing for 193 yards and three touchdowns in the Camels' 38-0 PFL victory against Morehead State, Saturday. Goods' 193 yards stands as the second-highest total in Campbell's Division I era, and the most ever by a Camel at Barker-Lane Stadium.
