INDIANAPOLIS, IND. -- The kickoff for Butler’s final regular season football game against Dayton on Nov. 15, has been moved up one hour. The Pioneer Football League contest at the Butler Bowl will start at 11 a.m.
The original noon start to the game became an issue when the Butler men’s basketball television schedule was released. Butler opens the 2014-15 basketball schedule at home against Maine on Nov. 15, and Fox Sports 2 will televise that game at 4:30 p.m. The Butler Bowl and Hinkle Fieldhouse share the same parking lot, and a noon start for football would have made it difficult to clear the lot in time for a 4:30 p.m. basketball game.
Butler will play its football home-opener against Taylor on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 6:30 p.m. Other Butler home games this fall will be against Jacksonville (Homecoming) on Sept. 27, San Diego on Oct. 18 and Morehead State on Nov. 1, all starting at noon.
