BUTLER defeated CAMPBELL, 25-24

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Matt Shiltz found Brandon Collins with 37 seconds left and pushed Butler to a 25-24 PFL victory against Campbell, Saturday, at the Butler Bowl. The Shiltz-to-Collins touchdown tied the game and Jonathan Treloar converted the ensuing PAT to give Butler its only lead of the contest. Campbell scored the game's first touchdown and DeShawn Jones' 72-yard touchdown run gave the Camels a 14-7 lead it would not relinquish until the game's final score. Jones finished the game with 133 rushing yards on 17 carries. Shiltz passed for two touchdowns as part of a 21-of-38, 234-yard passing performance and he rushed for 83 yards.

JACKSONVILLE defeated MARIST, 20-16

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Jacksonville improved to 3-0 on the season with a 20-16 PFL victory against Marist, Saturday, at Tenney Stadium. The Dolphins set the final score with 8:55 remaining in the fourth quarter when Kade Bell scored from one-yard out. Jacksonville and Marist then combined to turn the ball over on each of the game's final four drives – part of 11 turnovers the team's combined for in the contest. The Dolphins interecepted a pair of passes, including one to kill off the final Red Foxes drive, while Marist kept its hopes alive with a fumble recovery and interception down the stretch. Bell completed 32-of-63 passes for 348 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score. Marist's Michael White completed 17-of-36 passes for 214 yards and two touchdowns, but was intercepted four times and sacked five times.

MOREHEAD STATE defeated DAVIDSON, 34-0

MOREHEAD, Ky. – For the second straight game, Morehead State's defense pitched a shutout with Saturday's effort coming in a 34-0 PFL victory against Davidson. It is the Eagles first back-to-back shutouts since the 1979 season. Austin Gahafer threw four touchdown passes as part of a 19-of-35, 281-yard performance. Davidson's John Cook was held to 4-of-14 passing for 24 yards but led the team with 72 rushing yards.

SAN DIEGO defeated VALPARAISO, 38-6

VALPARAISO, Ind. – Anthony Lawrence threw four touchdown passes to lead San Diego past Valparaiso, 38-6, in Saturday PFL action at Brown Field. The Crusaders scored the game's first points as Jacob Newman connected on a 38-yard field goal. San Diego then scored the game's next 38 points, beginning when Lawrence found Brian Riley for a 15-yard touchdown with 3:40 left in the second quarter. Lawrence completed 21-of-28 passes for 214 yards and four touchdowns. Valparaiso was held to 178 offensive yards, quarterback Ryan Clarke passing for 130 yards on nine completions.

DRAKE defeated STETSON, 41-3

DES MOINES, Iowa – After a scoreless first quarter, Drake scored 17 points in the second frame and raced to a 41-3 PFL victory against Stetson, Saturday, at Drake Stadium. Kicker Josh Lee scored the game's first points on a 22-yard field goal early in the second frame. Drake then added a touchdown when Cody Thibault found Lee Snell for an 11-yard touchdown catch and carry. Return specialist Conley Wilkins turned the momentum in Drake's favor for good with a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and 17-3 halftime lead. Wilkins ran for 152 yards on 13 carries and finished with 250 all-purpose yards. Stetson was held to 178 offensive yards, quarterback Ryan Tentler passing for 98 yards on 11 completions.

DAYTON defeated KENNESAW STATE, 31-27

DAYTON, Ohio – Dayton overcame an early deficit thanks to a three-touchdown outing by Connor Kacsor in a 31-27 nonconference victory against Kennesaw State, Saturday, at Welcome Stadium. Dayton trailed 13-0 less than five minutes into the contest. The Flyers would not take the lead until Kacsor's third touchdown run, a two-yard dash that gave Dayton a 28-27 lead with 1:30 left in the third quarter. Kicker William Will added a 37-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to provide insurance. Kacsor finished with 229 rushing yards on 44 carries for his second straight 200-yard rushing performance and sixth of his career. The Owls Bennett and White each ran for 100-plus yards to pace a 342-yard, four touchdown rushing attack.
