  • Colin McGovern, Stetson
    OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

    Emerson, New Jersey

McGovern set a program record for passing yards and touchdowns in a game as Stetson downed Valparaiso in PFL action, Saturday. He finished the day completing 31-of-50 passes for 498 yards and six touchdowns, finding three different receivers for scoring passes. McGovern threw touchdown possessions on three consecutive Stetson drives in the third quarter to break the game open. Two of his touchdown throws went for more than 50 yards, with Donald Parham catching and carrying throws for 64 yards in the first quarter and 53 yards in the third frame. He is the eighth FCS quarterback to throw more than five touchdowns in a game this season.

  • Alex Rogers, Drake
    DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
    Alex Rogers, Drake

    Sophomore | Defensive Back
    Racine, Wisconsin

Rogers posted four tackles for loss to help Drake’s defense post another lock-down performance in a 43-6 PFL win against Morehead State, Saturday. He finished with a game-high 16 tackles, including 11 solo tackles, and also had a pass breakup in the contest. That pass breakup helped halt Morehead State’s first drive and followed his first tackle for loss. Rogers also had a key tackle for loss with Morehead State looking a 3rd-and-Goal at the Drake 3-yard line that helped hold Morehead State out of the end zone.

  • Kierian Severa, Drake
SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
    Kierian Severa, Drake

    Senior | Linebacker
    Lawrence, Kansas

Severa’s scoop and score of a blocked PAT turned all the momentum Drake’s way in a  43-6 PFL victory at Morehead State, Saturday. With Morehead State responding to Drake’s first touchdown with a touchdown of its own, the Bulldogs Nathan Clayberg blocked the PAT and Severa picked up the loose ball and returned it for a defensive PAT and a 9-6 Drake lead. It is the second time this season the Bulldogs defense has returned a PAT for a score.   Severa also had eight tackles (four solo) and a half tackle for loss in his normal duties.
