Lawrence compiled a career-high 469 offensive yards to help San Diego hold on for a 36-34 PFL victory against Dayton, Saturday. Compiling career highs in completions (29) and rushing yards (35), he finished the day with a season-best 434 passing yards and three touchdowns on 29-of-44 passing. Lawrence spread out his passes with eight different receivers catching a pass and three different receivers catching a touchdown score. His 74-yard touchdown strike to Michael Bandy early in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winner, but he used his feet to secure the win late in the frame. His 19-yard run after San Diego secured an on-side kick provided a key first down as did his 7-yard completion on 4th-and-2, which ended the game.

Duncan made three crucial fourth-quarter tackles to give Stetson an opportunity to post a 23-21 PFL victory against Drake, Saturday. He finished the game with 10 tackles (eight solo) and a fumble recovered. However, in the fourth quarter, his tackles on consecutive Drake drives ended threats deep in Stetson territory. Opening the quarter, his tackle on 3rd-and-2 at the Stetson 23 helped forced a turnover on downs on the next play. On the next Drake drive, his tackle on 4th-and-2 forced another turnover on downs. On the next Drake drive, he tackled and forced a fumble at the Stetson 15-yard drive to keep Drake out of the end zone. Those three stops proved pivotal as Stetson posted its first win against Drake.

Gessinger’s 97-yard kickoff return for a touchdown to start the second half propelled Valparaiso to a 35-17 PFL victory against Butler, Saturday. In a game that went back-and-forth in the first half, Gessinger pulled the momentum in Valparaiso’s favor with the third kickoff return for a touchdown in his career. He finished the day with 131 combined kick return yards, with 109 kickoff return yards and another 22 punt return yards. His first two punt returns came in the first quarter and setup Valparaiso at its own 49 and 46 yard lines, both those drives leading to scores. It was his second outing of 100-plus combined kick return yards this season.
