OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Anthony Lawrence, San Diego
Senior (RS) | Quarterback La Mesa, California
Lawrence posted 450 total offensive yards and was responsible for five touchdowns as San Diego opened its PFL schedule with a 49-10 victory against Stetson, Saturday. He completed 27-of-32 passes for 425 yards and threw four touchdowns then added a touchdown run on a four-carry, 25-yard ground effort. Lawrence tied his career highs for touchdown passes and set his career high for pass completions in the contest. He moved into second on San Diego’s career passing yards chart with the outing, ending the week with 9,772 yards. The Hatters will be happy to see Lawrence graduate as he has completed 91-of-114 passes for 1,476 yards and 13 touchdowns (no interceptions) in his career against the Hatters.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kieran Severa, Drake
Senior | Linebacker Lawrence, Kansas
Severa led the best defensive effort in the PFL during Week 5, Drake holding Jacksonville to 218 offensive yards en route to a 41-9 victory, Saturday. Severa was responsible for eight tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He also recovered a fumble on Jacksonville’s final possession. Severa opened his day with a statement on Jacksonville’s second possession, recording a tackle for loss and a sack to force a punt that the Drake special teams blocked for an instant red zone opportunity. He also had a tackle for loss on fourth-and-goal from the three-yard line on the Dolphins opening drive of the second half.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mekhai Johnson, Marist
Sophomore | Kick Returner Dorchester, Massachusetts
Johnson helped turn the tide with a big kick return to set up Marist’s go-ahead scoring drive in a 28-14 PFL victory against Dayton, Saturday. Moments after Dayton took a 17-14 lead, Johnson broke off a 54-yard kickoff return to setup Marist’s offense at the Dayton 45-yard line. Three plays later the Red Foxes scored to take the lead for good. Johnson also had a 33-yard kickoff return earlier in the game, finishing the day averaging 43.5 yards per kick return.
