Gardner-Webb 31, Presbyterian 24 in double overtime

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. – Gardner-Webb's Carlton Aiken found Narii Gaither for a six-yard touchdown and the Bulldogs defense intercepted a Presbyterian pass in the ensuing possession to claim a 31-24 double overtime victory, Saturday, at Spangler Stadium. A wild fourth quarter saw Presbyterian take the lead twice, Tyler Huff hitting Keith Pearson for a touchdown and a 17-14 lead. After Gardner-WEbb scored to regain the lead with 4:58 left, Huff led the Blue Hose on a 11-play, 82-yard drive that culminated with a 20-yard pass to Delvecchio Powell for a 24-21 lead. Gardner-Webb tied the game thanks to Kurt Everett's 37-yard field goal at the end of regulation, forcing overtime. Huff completed 29-of-46 passes for 307 yards and two touchdowns while Pearson caught 10 of those passes for 133 yards and a touchdown.
