SAN DIEGO 42, BUTLER 13
INDIANAPOLIS – San Diego ran for the game's first two touchdowns then Anthony Lawrence threw for four more, including his 100th career touchdown throw, as the Toreros sprinted past Butler, 42-13, in Saturday PFL action at Sellick Stadium.

Emilio Martinez opened the scoring for San Diego with a 59-yard dash on the game's opening drive. Terrence Smith also scored a rushing touchdown on the next Toreros drive for a 14-0 lead. Lawrence then threw three touchdowns in the second quarter, including a 97-yard catch-and-carry by Michael Armstead, as USD broke out to a 35-0 halftime lead.

Butler would break through with its first drive of the second half, Will Marty finding Stephen Dennis on a 61-yard strike. But San Diego scored with 14 seconds left to thwart any comeback attempt.

San Diego won its 25th consecutive PFL game – now the FCS' longest conference win streak after Jacksonville State of the Ohio Valley Conference lost at Southeast Missouri.

Lawrence completed 22-of-28 passes for 390 yards and four touchdowns. Armstead caught four passes for 159 yards and Michael Bandy added five catches for 129 yards and a touchdown. Martinez also posted 115 rushing yards on 15 carries.

Marty paced Butler with a 25-of-46 passing day for 317 yards, including touchdown throws to Temple and Stephen Dennis. Temple finished with 105 yards on seven catches while Dennis caught six passes for 101 yards.

MARIST 48, DAVIDSON 41 in double overtime
POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Austin Day threw a 25-yard touchdown pass in each overtime period as Marist rallied from a 17-point deficit to post a 48-41 PFL victory against Davidson in double overtime, Saturday, at Tenney Stadium.

Trailing 34-17 with four minutes left in the third quarter, Day would find Juston Christian on touchdown throws of 68 yards late in the third quarter and 74 yards with 10 minutes left in the fourth to slash the deficit to three points. Mateo Zapata tied the game with a 22-yard field goal to send the game to overtime.

Davidson would strike first in extra time as Wesley Dugger dove in from three yards out for an early lead. But Day responded on the first play of Marist's first overtime possession, finding Christian again for a 25-yard score. Day then put Marist ahead with another one-play overtime period, finding Jon Kanda for a 25-yard touchdown. Davidson could not gain a first down on its ensuing OT possession, falling one yard shy of a first down on the game's final play.

Day completed 21-of-33 passes for 440 yards and threw five touchdowns while running for another. He set Marist records for passing yardage and completions. Christian caught eight of those passes for 246 yards and three touchdowns, moving to within 14 yards of the PFL career receiving yardage mark.

Dugger ran for 111 yards on 26 carries and had four of the Wildcats touchdowns. Davidson finished with 400 rushing yards on 71 carries.

DRAKE 28, DAYTON 17
DAYTON, Ohio – Drake scored a touchdown in all four quarters to move past Dayton, 28-17, in Saturday PFL action at Welcome Stadium.

Drake trailed 10-7 with just under 10 minutes left in the first half before Grant Kraemer led Drake to 21 consecutive points. His six-yard touchdown pass to Steven Doran with 4:46 left in the half gave Drake a 14-10 lead. Kraemer solidified that lead with a 2-yard touchdown score to Doran with 3:32 left in the third quarter and the Bulldogs did not look back.

Dayton's two touchdowns came via the ground game as Richie Warfield dashed home from a yard out for the game's first points. Jack Cook would close the game's scoring with a two-yard touchdown run.

Cook completed 14-of-35 passes for 194 yards. Tucker Yinger amassed 106 all-purpose yards.

Kraemer completed 21-of-33 passes for 217 yards and two touchdowns. Drew Lauer ran for two scores as part of a 28-carry, 136-yard outing.

MOREHEAD STATE 31, VALPARAISO 24
MOREHEAD, Ky. – Morehead State held off a late Valparaiso burst to claim a 31-24 PFL victory, Saturday, at Jayne Stadium.

After a scoreless first quarter, Morehead State would break the ice with back-to-back touchdowns in the second quarter, Lawson Page passing for one and running for another. Valparaiso would then break through as Drew Snouffer returned an interception 40 yards for a touchdown, cutting the deficit in half, before Page would close the half with another rushing touchdown.

The Eagles would extend the lead to 28-7 with the game's only third-quarter score. Valparaiso then mounted a furious comeback scored three times in the fourth quarter, with Bailey Gessinger's 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown getting the Crusaders within 10 points. Dimitrious Latsonas would make it a one-score game with a 31-yard field goal.

Valparaiso would successfully recover the ensuing onside kick, setting it up at the Morehead State 46-yard line. But Sayyid Kanu sealed the win with an interception on the second play after the kick.

Page completed 22-of-38 passes for 352 yards and two touchdowns and ran for two more scores on 21 carries and 68 yards. Jarin Higganbotham and Sugar Ray Wyche posted 140 and 124 receiving yards, respectively, with each scoring a touchdown.

Valparaiso finished with only one offensive touchdown, that coming courtesy Parker Fox's two-yard dash early in the fourth quarter.

STETSON 38, JACKSONVILLE 35
DeLAND, Fla. – Jonny Messina connected on a 22-yard field goal as the final gun sounded, giving Stetson a 38-35 PFL victory against Jacksonville, Saturday, at Spec Martin Stadium.

Stetson built a 28-14 lead midway through the third quarter as Jareem Westcott scored from six yards out. However, Jacksonville roared back with the game's next three touchdowns – Garnett Nicolas scoring twice from inside the three-yard line followed by Calvin Turner Jr.'s 71-yard dash that gave the visitors a 35-28 lead.

But the Hatters responded with a touchdown on the ensuing possession, capping the drive with Colin McGovern finding Donald Parham for a 20-yard pass. The Stetson defense held Jacksonville to five plays before forcing a punt, leaving 2:39 on the clock. McGovern managed the ensuing drive in efficient fashion, fitting in 14 plays and moving the ball 80 yards to set up the game-winning kick.

McGovern completed 27-of-36 passes for 361 yards and three touchdowns, finding Parham 14 times for 150 yards and a score. Westcott ran for 59 yards on 15 carries, including two touchdowns.

Turner Jr. finished with 196 rushing yards on 26 carries and three touchdowns.
