The Pioneer Football League's preseason Media Days concluded with its annual coaches conference call, Thursday.

Twenty-eight student-athletes were named to the 2014 Preseason All-Pioneer Football League Team, announced Wednesday, and as selected by the league’s head coaches.

For the third consecutive year, the University of San Diego has been picked to win the Pioneer Football League regular-season race in a preseason vote of the league’s coaches.

Five Pioneer Football League student-athletes have been named to the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) offensive lists. Throughout the summer the CFPA is releasing preseason watch lists for players in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The lists highlights players whose performance merits recognition heading into the 2014 season.

The Pioneer Football League recently concluded its review of a matter involving the University of San Diego Football program. The league has ruled no additional sanctions will be imposed on the San Diego football team beyond its voluntary removal from the 2013 conference championship.
